R#2: Rest, Reflection and Renewal

Finding Peace: How to Slow Down and Recharge

Recalling the moments whenever I feel overwhelmed, and there is a pile of works, I feel like as if I have forgotten how to slow down. Sometimes, whenever I walk pass the windows in the office building, I remind myself as I have forgotten there is a scenery outside that I could look outside, and take a breath.

Breaking the 4 walls, sometimes, we may not be able to talk a stroll with beautiful sceneries, we live in the city, and surround are car hones, motorcycles roars, busy and bustle noise from the city living, filled with metals, and concretes; I had to admit sometimes some gaming world is my second escape. A secret; I often have a sense of chill in a RPG Game, Assassin Creed: Odyssey; whenever my character at the top of the mountain, link with the eagle, for that leap of faith. The virtual world, far sights, music, the views, gave me a sense of chill and relax.

Surely the best place is a place that’s comfortable, a little chilling, with some instrumental music, where I get to close my eyes, and blend with the environment. I remembered how I used to feel a sense of rejuvenation, whenever I’m practising gratitude in grand church. Nowadays, as long as I take a moment, to be thankful of what I have, I still feel the comfort, and a sense of ‘inner renewal’.

P/S: believe or not.. cinema can be a wonderful place to get some soul rejuvenation. Learning to relax is important.

Rejuvenation begins with mindfulness. despite the noisy environment, the inner voice, we learn to adapt and blend with the surrounding, monitoring our breath, and counting , observing the air flow in our body , inhale and exhale. Ever since pickup the Apple Watch, I discovered that feature of Mindfulness moment, I learnt to rekindle with my own self.
